The eyes, a window to the soul…

The eyes, a window to the soul. There is a quiet language in the eyes, one that words can’t replace. We can say almost anything. We can make promises, hide our emotions, or pretend everything is fine. But a tender gaze or a distant one can say what words don’t. There’s something beautiful about being looked at by someone who truly loves you. That light, that warmth that doesn’t need a speech. And when that light seems to fade, it can hurt in a way that’s hard to put into words. But eyes don’t tell us everything. Sometimes distance is pain or exhaustion that we know nothing about. That’s why love also asks for patience and honest conversation. Scripture reminds us that love is patient and kind, not just words but action. Perhaps the greatest gift isn’t just hearing I love you, but feeling it in the way someone shows up day after day. And maybe the most human hope is simply to look into someone’s eyes and know your heart has a home, without needing a thousand words, just a steady, enduring love. By Adrian M.
